How we verify providers
Badges only appear when our operations team has reviewed evidence. Each badge shows what was checked and its date or expiry.
Identity checked
Government photo ID reviewed against the account holder by a Propertyness operator. We record the reviewer and date.
Insurance on file
Public liability certificate reviewed; we record the insurer, cover amount and expiry. Providers can’t accept work after expiry until a new certificate is approved.
Background check (where provided)
For domestic work, providers may upload a basic DBS certificate. We record the certificate date. We don’t carry out the check ourselves.
Specialist capability
Carpet, upholstery, oven, window and floor work needs evidence such as training certificates, equipment photos or invoices. Each capability is verified separately.
Reviews are only collected from clients after a completed booking. Clients rate cleaning quality, punctuality and communication separately. Providers can respond publicly or appeal a review to our team.
